Lester Nare

Director of Operations

Co-host, From First Principles; COO, Steadworth

Lester Nare is a Zimbabwean-American science communicator, entrepreneur, and builder working across frontier science, public transparency, technology, and civic institutions. He is the co-host of From First Principles, a science education podcast that breaks down complex science news from the ground up for curious audiences. The show reflects the throughline of his work: making technical, institutional, and scientific subjects more accessible without flattening their complexity.

Alongside physicist Krishna Choudhary, Lester helps translate frontier research into conversations that are rigorous, engaging, and culturally relevant. From First Principles grew out of a long-running friendship and a shared belief that science deserves the same public-facing energy, narrative infrastructure, and cultural attention as sports, finance, and entertainment.

At the Disclosure Foundation, Lester serves as Director of Operations, supporting the organization’s work at the intersection of government transparency, public education, policy leadership, and scientific inquiry. His work in the UAP field has included strategic advocacy, digital storytelling, civic engagement, and efforts to broaden public access to credible information, records, and analysis.

Outside of science communication and public transparency work, Lester is the COO of Steadworth, a platform that helps homebuyers find down payment assistance and better understand the programs available to them. He also provides operational leadership on land development initiatives alongside his co-founder, including Highland Estates, a major single-family residential development in Wisconsin.

He began his career building early-stage ventures and studied at Princeton University, where he played varsity soccer. Lester lives in Los Angeles and, when away from the laptop, can usually be found skiing, surfing, or on the pitch.
