Dr. Jennice Vilhauer is a clinical psychologist in Los Angeles, the developer of Future Directed Therapy, and author of Think Forward to Thrive: How to Use the Mind's Power of Anticipation to Transcend Your Past and Transform Your Life. Her work focuses on how expectations shape emotional health, decision-making, and the ability to move beyond past experience toward constructive future-directed action.
Dr. Vilhauer has been appointed to the UAP Science Advisory Council, an expert group assembled to advise the U.S. government on the study of unidentified anomalous phenomena. The council supports a broader interagency effort involving the White House, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the FBI, the Department of War, AARO, and other intelligence community partners. Her role is tied to her expertise in quantitative psychology and the psychological dimensions of potential disclosure.
She has held leadership roles as director of outpatient psychotherapy programs at Emory Healthcare and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and has worked in executive assessment and leadership development as a managing consultant at Korn Ferry International. She is a featured expert contributor for Psychology Today and has more than two decades of experience helping clients recover from depression and regain emotional well-being.
Dr. Vilhauer completed undergraduate training in psychology at UCLA, earned her doctorate at Fordham University, and completed postdoctoral training in clinical research at Columbia University.
