Lester Nare on NewsNation: UAP Disclosure Forum 2026

June 20, 2026

Director of Operations Lester Nare previews the UAP Disclosure Forum and discusses the need for scientific review, sensor data, and a broader public process around UAP transparency.

Director of Operations Lester Nare joined NewsNation's Hena Doba to discuss the upcoming UAP Disclosure Forum in Washington, D.C., and the broader push for federal transparency around UAP records, sensor data, and whistleblower allegations.

Nare described the forum as an effort to bring together members of Congress, the scientific community, national security experts, and the public to make sense of newly released government records and the larger implications of the UAP issue. He emphasized that the recent releases move the conversation beyond allegations alone and toward a more structured process for reviewing official records.

The interview also covered the national security questions raised by reports of unknown technological objects near sensitive facilities, including nuclear sites. Nare said those concerns should be examined alongside the broader social, psychological, economic, and religious implications that could arise if any whistleblower claims about non-human technology prove accurate.

Asked what should happen next, Nare pointed to the need for independent scientific review of sensor data and a serious process for addressing allegations involving physical materials that may be held by the government or private contractors. He said the public's interest in the issue is high, while trust in the government's handling of it remains low, making independent validation especially important.

Nare also discussed the newly announced UAP Science Advisory Council as part of a larger interagency process. He said its value will depend in part on whether meaningful data can be declassified and shared with scientists in a form that allows serious independent analysis.
